Business Development & Fundraising

Ridgeway has significant experience of supporting clients to access funding to deliver their initiatives through establishing collaborations and developing bids. This includes leading on securing funds for clients from: Multiple Local Government organisations,Health Foundation, Kings Fund, National Lottery, the British Council, UKIERI and Garfield Weston Foundation. As part of our work in this field we also: Horizon scan multiple tender portals and maintain a database of philanthropic and charitable funders and share accordingly. Recent examples of business development and fundraising commissions include:

Dedicated business development partnerships:

  • Developing an income diversification strategy and securing philanthropic funding for a specialist healthcare charity.
  • A recent 3-year collaboration to manage a business development pipeline for a regional Health Innovation Network (formerly AHSN) – in this time the contracted business grew from 600k to 3m+.
  • Long term support arrangements with national and regional housing providers, two Care and Repair agencies and a UK university – one of which included building funding cases for 12 workstreams specialising in work with marginalised communities.

Specific bid writing commissions:

Ridgeway has also developed long term relationships with clients providing intensive support for specific bids at short notice. For example:

  • Supporting a home improvement provider to tender for a long-term local government contract.
  • A London University seeking to secure research and     development funding to support its International Partnerships programme.
